In the last few weeks John McCain and Sarah Palin have launched a barrage of negative attacks that many in the media flagged as gross distortions or outright lies.
"Pinocchio Posses" are showing up at McCain-Palin events, leading "Lie-Ins," wearing pinocchio noses, and reciting the litany of McCain-Palin lies. Start your own now.
This site has become a meetup and organizing hub for people interested in responding to McCain's lies.
The "Pinocchio Politics" label is dogging the McCain campaign, developing as an internet phenomena akin to the "Flip-Flopper" tag for John Kerry in 2004. This time the label fits. Let's make it stick.
Get Involved
Folks all over the country who are fed up with McCain's lies are putting on Pinocchio noses and showing up at McCain/Palin events. You can, too:
STEP ONE: Start a Pinocchio Posse
Visit our Take Action page to get the tools,then list the event on the schedule page; or contact us and we'll help spread the word.
STEP TWO: Get your Pinocchio Nose
Get yourself a Pinocchio Nose, and download all the other helpful materials on this site (signs, leaflet, press release, etc.)
STEP THREE: Track McCain/Palin whereabouts
Use our schedule page to find out when McCain or Palin is coming to town near you.
STEP FOUR: Stage your Pinocchio Protest
Show up, nose on. Get inside and call them out on their lies as they say them. Stay outside and stage a "Lie-In" using the Pinoccho Politics Long List of Lies.
STEP FIVE: Spread the word
Send pictures of your action. Blog about it. Get your friends, family and network involved.
